FAQs

As Naturopathic Doctors in California, we are not in-network with any insurance companies.
However, we’re happy to provide a Superbill with all necessary billing codes that you can submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Reimbursement rates vary by plan, so we recommend checking if your insurance covers Naturopathic Medicine or Acupuncture services.
Dr. Allison Serrano can also order labs through LabCorp, allowing you to use insurance for laboratory testing if preferred. Please note that our in-house cash pricing for labs is often significantly more affordable than standard insurance billing rates.
Superbills can be printed for you at the time of your visit for easy submission.
HSA / FSA payments accepted, as well as credit and debit card, checks, and cash.

Yes. To ensure medical necessity and appropriate interpretation, Dr. Serrano requires a New
Patient Consultation before ordering any labs or specialty testing.
This visit allows her to fully understand your health concerns and determine which functional lab panels or comprehensive wellness tests are most beneficial to you.
Additionally, most insurance providers require documented medical rationale for laboratory testing. By establishing care first, Dr. Serrano can include the appropriate diagnostic codes and clinical justification, ensuring that your lab orders meet insurance requirements should you choose to bill insurance or submit for reimbursement.

Dr. Allison Serrano sees pediatric patients on a case-by-case basis. While we’re not a pediatric or urgent care office and cannot accommodate after-hours care, Dr. Serrano may provide naturopathic care for children when appropriate.
If you share some background about your child’s needs, we can confirm whether Dr. Serrano feels it’s a good fit.

If the IV you’re interested in does not have an asterisk, you’re welcome to schedule it directly.
